Glenda is a Senior Mental Health Specialist and Psychotherapist with more than twenty years of working experience in the sector. She has a Bachelor and master’s degree in psychology from Central University of Venezuela and Military Hospital Dr. Carlos Arvelo placed in Caracas-Venezuela.
Since 2000, Glenda has worked in a variety of settings, including private and public health services in New South Wales and overseas. Glenda provides a diverse range of psychotherapy and counselling services to children, adolescents, and adults of all ages and backgrounds who present with emotional and mental health difficulties.
In her professional career, Glenda has been orientated to support people suffering from mood disorders, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, trauma with special emphasis on post-traumatic stress disorder as well as domestic violence. Her treatment modalities are based on Psychodynamic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Schema Therapy.
Glenda is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and currently works for the Australian Government Department of Human Services through the Transcultural Mental Health Centre.
